Portland Winter Light Festival

The seventh annual Portland Winter Light Festival is taking place February 4th - 12th. Over 100 art installations will be placed around the City on display. This year the event is a decentralized citywide event with pop-up art in windows, businesses, and unusual spaces, encouraging guests to explore the city to view art while allowing for equitable access for more families and guests. Pop-ups will be interspersed with large, dynamic anchor art installations.

Lolo Pass is going to be home to two incredible pieces during this time - The first piece is “A Lamp to Read Seuss By” by Richard Miner, Tom Barnes, and Denni Kjos. It is a rotating, dome-shaped crown, letting out brilliant lights; casting pictures on nearby walls; atop a curved base, reminiscent of Dr. Seuss's trees.

The second piece is “Mineral Future Tree” by John Carter, Christopher Condrat, Tami Clark, and Anika Hall. It is a tree transported from the future into Portland to light up the night!

We’ll be hosting an opening party on February 4th at 6pm to kick off the festival!
