Reservations

How can I book?

Look up and to your right, and you'll see a book now button! Our website has the lowest rates, always. If you'd prefer to email or call to book, you can reach us at info@lolopasspdx.com or (503) 908-3074. Please note we do not accept same day walk-in bookings after 8 pm.

What is the cancellation policy?

Generally, all refundable reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the check in date free of charge. If you cancel within the 48 hours prior to your arrival date, we will charge the first night of your stay as a cancellation fee. If you don’t arrive for your reservation and don’t give us any notice, we will charge the full amount for your stay.

Some booking sites and special rates have different cancellation policies, so we ask that you check the details on your booking confirmation for more specifics.

If you’d like to cancel or modify your reservation, you can usually do so through your original booking method or feel free to call or email us!

What types of payment do you accept and when?

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. We take payment on check-in, unless otherwise stated. In other words, read the fine print when you’re booking online to be sure.

All same day reservations and cash payments will require a $100 credit card authorization. We do not accept cash payment for walk-in reservations. Guests must present a valid credit card in their name upon check-in. We do not accept third-party payments.

I am a Portland resident. Can I stay with you?

You can absolutely stay with us! We will require a $100 credit card authorization from residents of the Portland metro area upon check in. That authorization will be released on check out. Please note we do not accept same day walk-in bookings after 8 pm.

What do I need to check in?

We require all guests to pay for their own reservations. We require a valid credit card in the guest's name as well as a valid, unexpired ID. Please see this list of IDs we will accept. Certain reservations will require a $100 pre-authorization on your credit card: (1) cash paying reservations (2) same day reservations (3) reservations by Portland residents.

Please note we do not accept same day walk-in bookings after 8 pm.

Travel

How do I get there?

Lolo Pass is located at 1616 E Burnside St. When arriving by car, it’s best to park/unload/drop off on 16th Avenue.
The Lloyd Center / NE 11th Ave MAX rail station is 10 minute walk from us. From the airport, if you board the Red Line MAX train towards City Center. Lloyd Center is the 8th stop. Exit the train and continue to walk in the direction of the train down NE Holladay St. Take a left on 11th Ave, a left on Lloyd Blvd, a left on 12th Ave (walk over the bridge) and then a left on Burnside. We’re on the corner of 16th and Burnside, on the right side of Burnside. If you’d prefer to take a car-share ride, Lyft and Uber are the best options in Portland. Just make sure you tell them 1616 EAST Burnside, because there is a West Burnside as well! Rides can range from $20-45 depending on the time of day and traffic.

Where are you located relative to all the great stuff to see/do in Portland?

If you ask us, Portland’s Eastside is the center of the City, culturally. All the best restaurants, shops, galleries, bars, clubs, etc are over here. 7 of Eater 38’s picks for top Portland restaurants are within a mile of us. Burnside Street is a commercial thoroughfare of Portland with hubs of activity all around us. Just ask any of us for our recommendations for favorite vintage shops, outdoor dining or historic movie theaters nearby! We’re also just a short bus ride away from downtown (Line 20). The bus stop is right outside our buidling

Where can I park?

When you arrive to Lolo Pass, there is an unloading spot on 16th St outside our building. You can use that while you unload luggage and check in. There is free (unlimited) street parking in our neighborhood. Be sure to read the posted signage, as certain spots do have time limits. The neighborhood is generally safe but we recommend that you remove all valuables from sight to avoid any unwanted attention or broken windows.

During Your Stay

What time can I check in?

You’re welcome to come get the Lolo Pass experience started as soon as you get to town! We generally have all of the rooms clean and ready for check in by 3pm, but if your room happens to be ready early and it is after 9am, we’re happy to check you in. If your room isn’t ready, you’re welcome to drop you bags with us (free of charge), grab a coffee or bite to eat, and hang out in any of our common space.

What time is check out?

Check out is at 11am. Late checkouts past 11:30am are subject to a $20 fee. We are happy to store your bags ($1/bag), and you can still enjoy your last day at Lolo Pass!

Can I store my bags?

Bag storage prior to check in is complimentary. After check out, bag storage is $1/bag. If you leave anything overnight, storage is $5/bag.

Can I do laundry?

Yes! We have guest laundry facilities on the 2nd floor, and we sell laundry detergent at the front desk. A wash or dry cycle is $2.50 each and we've got quarters if you don't.

I’m hangry! What do you have to eat or drink?

We have coffee and tea drinks for you at our coffee bar. We have a full breakfast, lunch and dinner service (along with drinks) at our lobby bar. We also have a bar on the roof open during nice weather. Check out our Eats & Drinks page for more info on menus and hours.

Does my room have a bathroom?

Yes! All of our rooms have bathrooms ensuite. For the private Queen and Twin rooms with bath, there is a bathroom (sink, toilet and shower) right in your room.

For the dorm rooms, you will enter your room through a shared space that has private toilet and shower rooms, your lockers, sinks and vanities. Your bed is in a sleeping room attached to this shared space. The idea is that your sleeping room is just for quiet sleep, and the louder getting ready stuff can happen behind a closed door! There’s nothing worse than your bunk-mate throwing all the lights on and rifling through their locker at 4am while you try to sleep two feet away.

Tell me more about these dorms? I’m sharing a room with strangers?

We like to think of them as your future best friends. When you book a bed in one of our 4 or 8 bed dorms, you may share the room with up to 3 or 7 other people. You may also have a private room, depending on availability!

All of our dorm beds have curtains for some privacy and to block light, a reading light, outlets and a small shelf to keep your important stuff with you while you sleep. Each bed also comes with a secure locker big enough to stash you roller board suitcase or backpack.

The toilets and showers are located in a shared space, but each is in a lockable private room.

Do I need to bring sheets or towels?

All of our rooms/beds will be made up with a sheet, duvet and pillow prior to your arrival. Guests all get fresh towels. We don’t change towels/sheets unless your stay with us is over 5 days, but you’re welcome to ask for a fresh towel or sheets any time during your stay.

If you've come with your own pillow, sleeping bag or other bedding, we will need to store those for you in our bag storage during your stay (free of charge).

How old/young to I need to be to stay with you?

We host all ages, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Check the signage in our bar about where underage guests are allowed/not allowed depending on hours.

All of our private rooms have a maximum occupancy of two people. Children under 5 are welcome to share the existing beds, but we do not have space for travel cots and cribs, unfortunately. Our 4 and 8-bed dorm rooms are good options for larger families. Ask us about group bookings and about guaranteeing privacy for your families in our dorm rooms.

How long can I stay with you? Do you offer long-stay discounts?

Guests are allowed to stay with us up to 28 days in one calendar year.

We do not currently offer long-stay discounts.

Do you have heat/AC in the rooms?

Yes and yes! Portland can get cold in the winter and very hot for a few weeks in the summer, but we’re ready for both! Each room has individual climate control.

Do you allow pets?

Yes, we do allow up to 2 dogs in our private rooms. Unfortunately we do not allow dogs in our shared accommodation rooms.

Dogs will incur a $25 fee (each), plus a $250 authorization hold on your credit card. If you are visiting our cafe we’re happy to have your pups on the downstairs patio or our sidewalk seating.

COVID-19 Safety and Protocols

What steps are you taking to keep me safe from COVID-19?

We know traveling during this time can feel uncertain. We want to make sure you feel safe, healthy and comfortable. We’ve implemented the following measures:

• We’ve placed hand sanitizing stations throughout the property. • We ask guests to maintain social distancing in our common spaces. • Our housekeeping staff will enter all dorm rooms once a day to sanitize spaces. • Housekeeping for private rooms will be opt-in. Unless you request daily housekeeping, we will not enter your room during your stay. • We ask any guests experiencing symptoms of coronavirus while staying with us (fever, dry cough, body aches, shortness of breath) to stay in your room and call or email us immediately.

Are you requiring proof of vaccination or negative covid tests?

We are no longer requiring proof of vaccination to stay in dorms or private rooms.
