Your Perfect Portland Bachelorette Party Plans!

Planning a bachelorette weekend in Portland?  Pat yourself on the back, because you already made an excellent choice.  Portland is such a fun destination to celebrate your favorite bride.  There’s a little something for everyone and at every budget.

Accommodation

Lolo Pass is a perfect accommodation option for a party crowd.  A few things we think make us the best place to host your weekend attendees:

1)    We have a range of room types and options for all budgets.  Bougie friends who want their own rooms.  Check.  Friends who would prefer to fan out their cash at the strip club instead of splashing cash on rooms.  Check.  Friends who can’t get enough of each other and want to stay up all night giggling and have space to get ready together.  Check Check. We have private rooms and dorm rooms to satisfy any budget.

2)    Our dorm-style suites are super fun for getting ready together to go out.  Grab a couple bottles of bubbly from our bar, blast the party mix your sister spent hours curating, and get ready for a fun night.

3)    Need space for your fun and games? Ask us about renting one of our event spaces for even more room.

4)    We have plenty of F&B options – if you want some snacks/drinks in your suite, a few drinks at sunset on the roof or a full on private dinner – we can do it.  Just ask!

Now that we’ve figured out where you’re staying, onto the other fun!  Here are some of our favorite things to consider adding to your itinerary.

White Water Rafting

Head out to the Columbia River Gorge for some action packed bonding time. Nothing will bring your crew together faster than surviving the 14-foot drop over Husum Falls.  The best outfitters in the area are River Drifters and  Wet Planet.  Head into White Salmon afterwards for lunch at White Salmon Baking Co. or beers at Everybody’s Brewing.  Both have epic views of Mt. Hood and are fun places to shake off that adrenaline.

Boozy Brunches

Obviously a must on the itinerary.  We have our own at Lolo Pass on the first Sunday of every month.  Check out our events calendar for more info about what other events are happening during your stay.

Hey Love – head down the street to say hi to our neighbors at Hey Love.  Open Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm.  They’ve got all the creative brunch nosh to stave off that hangover – think croque madame burgers, biscuits and maitake mushroom gravy – plus fun cocktails if you need the hair of the dog.

Diva Drag Bunch at Swan Dive – Every Sunday at 11am – Drag, Burlesque, Acrobatics, Live Singing, and More.  They serve food and drinks, but you’re really there for the lewks, dance moves and attitude they’re serving.  Get tickets in advance.

Eastburn – Just two blocks from us is brunch staple Eastburn.  The plates are hearty and the brunch cocktail list is loooong.  Ask about reservations for your group!

Wine Tasting

Check out our blog post about wine tasting in Portland.

Wine tasting in Willamette Valley is a very doable day trip from Portland.  You do need to book tasting appointments in advance – especially for large groups.  We’d recommend grabbing breakfast at Lolo Pass before you go, hitting one tasting in the morning, getting a leisurely lunch at Red Hills Market or Trellis (both in Dundee, OR) and then planning on one tasting in the afternoon.

Our favorite wineries in that area are Arterberry Maresh, Winderlea, Dusky GooseWhite Rose Estate, De Ponte Cellars,Sokol Blosser and Beaux Freres.  Tastings run the gamut price-wise from $20-$75 so gauge your group’s budget and interest in wine before booking.

Check out Alaska Airlines Wine Flies Free program.  300+ Oregon wineries offer free tastings if you show them your Alaska boarding pass.  And you can check  in a case of wine for free in case you want to bring some home.
