Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just dabbling, there's a trail that's right for you. The best part is, you don't need any special gear or equipment to get started. A pair of comfortable shoes, a bottle of water, and a sense of adventure are all you need to embark on an urban hiking adventure.

Portland’s hiking trails are extremely accesible. No need to rent a car, you can take public transport or call an Uber or Lyft. The hikes range from under a mile to over a marathon in length so you can choose one that’s commensurate with your skill or interest level. You can experience pure wilderness without compromising your entire vacation itinerary. Although the trails are easy to access, they still offer a welcome respite from the noise, pollution, and chaos.
